Our mission

Halcyon Home is a non-profit, non-denominational charitable organization for battered women and their children whose mission is to: provide safe shelter and support services for victims of domestic violence, their children, and survivors of sexual assault; promote community awareness and education to help prevent and break the cycle of violence; provide an environment of encouragement, compassion, and support for all those we service.

Fulfilling a Critical Need

We are a critical resource in Southwest Georgia, serving Thomas, Grady, Decatur, Seminole, and Mitchell Counties. Despite our efforts, the demand for our services exceeds our current capacity, with 550 victims referred elsewhere due to lack of space. As we expand our role in the community and region, we anticipate the need for additional services to meet the growing demand. All services are provided at no cost to our clients, ensuring that help is accessible to those who need it most.
