At Cairo First Baptist, our beliefs are rooted in the Word of God and centered around the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We stand firm in the teachings of the Bible and are committed to living out our faith through worship, service, and community.
Our Ministires
We are committed to living out these beliefs in practical ways. Our faith is not just something we profess—it’s something we live each day as we worship, serve, and engage with the world around us. We strive to reflect Christ in all that we do, offering love, grace, and service to our community and beyond. As we walk together in faith, we invite you to join us in fulfilling God’s calling and making a lasting impact.
The Bible – We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God, fully authoritative and relevant for every aspect of life. It is God’s perfect revelation of Himself, providing truth, wisdom, and guidance for our lives.
God – We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit. God is the Creator of all things, sovereign over the universe, and loving toward His creation.
Jesus Christ – We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His atoning death on the cross, His bodily resurrection, and His ascension to the right hand of God the Father. Jesus is the Savior of the world, the way, the truth, and the life.
Salvation – We believe that salvation is a gift of grace through faith in Jesus Christ. It is not by works, but by the finished work of Christ on the cross that we are reconciled to God. Every person must be born again through faith in Jesus Christ and trust in His redemptive work.
The Church – We believe the Church is the body of Christ, composed of all believers, called to worship, grow, and serve. The local church is a place for believers to gather, be equipped, and fulfill God’s mission in the world.
The Holy Spirit – We believe the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity, who empowers and equips believers for service, teaches and convicts, and guides the Church in truth. The Holy Spirit dwells within all believers, helping them live according to God’s will.
The Future – We believe in the second coming of Christ, the resurrection of the dead, and the final judgment. All believers will be with God forever in heaven, while those who reject Christ will be separated from Him for eternity.
